Oakland Zoo

One of my favorite places to visit growing up was the Oakland Zoo. It taught me so much and definitely influenced my college/career path. While not the highest image quality, the first photo below may be one of my favorites of the series. To see this type of interaction between keeper and primate is just beautiful. It reminds me of pictures of Jane Goodall and the primates she worked with, connections which I hope to experience in my field of work. As you will notice there are many photos of meerkats. Why? Because I find them so entertaining and cute! On my bucket list: to see them in the wild.
